About the Festival
Join Global Human Rights Defence in person for the 6th GHRD International Human Rights Film Festival — the Human Trafficking Edition — on 15 October 2026 at Pathé Buitenhof.
As an organisation based in The Hague, the International City of Peace and Justice, GHRD contributes to the global conversation on human rights and the protection of vulnerable communities. We believe film is a powerful tool for educating, opening dialogue and encouraging positive social change.
Human trafficking remains one of the gravest human rights violations of our time. Millions of people, children among them, continue to fall victim to this form of modern slavery built on exploitation — including, but not limited to, sexual exploitation and forced labour.
The afternoon brings together documentaries that approach the subject from very different perspectives and parts of the world, followed by two panel discussions with filmmakers, experts and survivors. Every ticket includes one free beverage.
